We recently virtualized many of our own internal systems and it really paid off with a check for nearly $20,000 from Energy Trust of Oregon (ETO) —in addition to the power we’ve saved. Here are some quick stats about the project:
- Virtualized and recycled over 30 servers
- There are 3 ESX servers (hosts) so far, running over 35 guests
- The CPU load on each host is typically < 8%
- Memory allocation on each host is typically <50%
