“Without the Internet, we reallly don't exist. All of our member credit unions go through our web site, which is actually hosted by EasyStreet, to access any of the systems they use to do day-to-day business.
It was crucial for our organization to be able to upgrade our bandwith as necessary. EasyStreet said, 'No problem,' and we went from 1.5 Mbps to 10 Mbps in under a day.
We have to comply with NCUA requirments that are basically the same as Sarbanes-Oxley, but much more stringent. Because we host services for so many member credit unions, it's vital we do so in an extremely secure environment.
Due to NCUA requirements, we had to implement a Disaster Recovery Center. The services we provide are very critical, so we have to have redundancy in place. In addition to dual UPS and generator power backup, EasyStreet has four carriers. So if one carrier goes down, we still function. I could not find another hosted facility that provided the redundancy EasyStreet has at this location.”
