EasyStreet’s core management team has been in place — and in Beaverton — since the business was founded in 1995. With majority control remaining with the management team, EasyStreet is insulated from outside interests and remains able to focus on creating value for its customers.
The executive team is notable for its breadth of management experience and technological savvy, all focused on operating a lean and profitable operation dedicated to achieving extraordinary levels of customer satisfaction.
Rich Bader, President & CEO (Co-founder)
Rich is the driving force behind EasyStreet’s growth and success. His rare blend of broad technological expertise and entrepreneurial spirit has made him a guiding light in the Oregon high-tech community. Prior to founding EasyStreet, Rich:
- Earned a BSEE from Northeastern University
- Founded Intel’s Personal Computer Enhancement Operation
- Served as an industry guru and analyst for Stewart Alsop’s PC Letter
- Consulted for HP, Intel, Microsoft, Tektronix, PictureTel, Quarterdeck and Prodigy on matters of technology implementation and infrastructure management
John Beaston, Vice President Customer Services (Co-founder)
John oversees a team of technical folks committed to customer satisfaction and skilled at solving technical problems. His passion is keeping customers delighted with EasyStreet services. Prior to EasyStreet, John:
- Earned a BSEE from Bradley University, MSEE from the University of Illinois and MA from Pacific University
- Taught technology and advanced mathematics at the university, community college and high school levels
- Spent 20 years at Intel doing everything from memory chip design to being an American technical accent in Europe to definition work on the first generation of PC fax boards and video conferencing
- Managed the technical marketing and customer support centers for Intel on the Pentium, Multibus and ProShare Video product lines
Jon Crowhurst, Director of Technical Services (Co-founder)
Jon is expert in design, installation and maintenance of Internet points of presence, local and wide area networks and computer systems management. Prior to EasyStreet, Jon:
- Earned degrees from the University of Oregon in Computer Science and Geography
- Served as Director of Computing and Networking for the Oregon Graduate Institute for 12 years
- Performed strategic consulting services for OGI Telecomm, Pacific University and NorthWestNet
Jon manages the technical operations critical to EasyStreet’s key services and is largely responsible for bringing Data Center 2 online.
Jack Flug, Vice President Finance
Jack oversees EasyStreet’s financial staff, providing overall direction as well as day-to-day leadership and management to all company finance functions. With in-depth finance and high-tech experience, Jack joined EasyStreet in 2006 as Director of Finance. Prior to EasyStreet, Jack:
- Earned a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance from Oregon State University
- Was Finance Director for the PCB Division of Cadence Design Systems
In addition to his role at EasyStreet, Jack is an active member on several local boards and committees.
Steve Knipple, Vice President Engineering and Operations
Steve has 15 years’ experience in IT enterprise strategy, architecture, management and operations. He is a specialist in Corporate IT transformational programs of local, national and international scale. Prior to joining EasyStreet, Steve:
- Developed disaster recovery concepts for global, regional and local data centers inclusive internal and external collocation facilities
- Led Munich-based Wacker Chemical Corporation in the company-wide standardization and deployment of virtualized hosting services
- Earned a B.S. Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and an M.S. in Applied Information Management from the University of Oregon. His thesis work focused on leveraging existing and future IT investments to realize maximum value
Steve is focused on meeting business requirements in terms of functionality, performance and availability while encouraging an innovative and enjoyable workplace.
G. Dean Oswald, Vice President Sales
Dean is an experienced executive with expertise in identifying and capturing new business opportunities for high-growth organizations like EasyStreet. His passion, consultative skills and morale-building leadership helps foster the customer-as-partner relationships for which EasyStreet is known. Prior to joining EasyStreet, Dean:
- Successfully developed strategic business relationships and grew revenue as Vice President Sales and General Manager at MSI Systems Integrators
- Led the sales and engineering team for Pacific Northwest Enterprise accounts as Regional Manager at Cisco Systems, consistently exceeding corporate objectives
- Held senior positions at Lucent Technologies and AT&T
- Earned a B.A. in Computer Information Systems from Boise State University
