Sustainability: More Than Our Logo is Green

EasyStreet is committed to becoming a more sustainable business. We recognize that caring for the environment is crucial to our employees, our customers, and Oregon's economy and livability. We are actively working to mitigate the environmental consequences of energy consumption that go hand-in-hand with being a thriving Data Center and Managed Services Provider.

Renewable Wind Power

100 percent of the power in our Data Center is PGE Clean Wind^SM power. This commitment makes us one of only three Platinum-level PGE Clean Wind Partners. EasyStreet also uses 100 percent PGE Renewable Future^SM power in the office. EasyStreet was recognized by Portland General Electric (PGE) as the utility's 2008 Green Power Leader.

Become an EasyStreet Renewable Energy Partner

EasyStreet is the first Data Center in Oregon to offer a Renewable Energy Partner Option for our colocation customers. Customers requesting this option will pay a low monthly premium and will receive the following:

• One free Remote Hands task per month per cabinet, regardless of cabinet size (a $50 value per month per cabinet)
• EasyStreet's 100% Renewable Power logo to use on their web site and colo cabinet
• Inclusion on EasyStreet's Renewable Energy Partners web page with a link to their site
• Recognition in appropriate PGE promotions (including advertising and press releases)

Other Ways EasyStreet Approaches Sustainability:

• A "Green Team" meets regularly to work on sustainability issues. The team includes our CEO, several executives, managers and staff members from all departments
• We are members of the Westside Transportation Alliance
• All employees receive annual TriMet passes
• The League of American Bicyclists has designated EasyStreet a Bicycle Friendly Business at the Bronze level
• We employ Expresso Building Services, a local environmentally-friendly cleaning service.
• Our open office design has environmental benefits, including an abundant use of skylights and dual-pane windows to minimize the use of artificial lights
• All conference room tables and chairs are from HON, a "green" furniture company
• We use high-efficiency bathroom fixtures (including motion-sensing water faucets)
• We use fluorescent and Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFL)
• We have replaced CRT monitors with LCD screens
• We purchase EPEAT-certified equipment whenever possible
• We turn off all unused lights overnight
• We use filtered tap water instead of bottled water
• A full kitchen with washable tableware instead of plastic and paper reduces waste
• We use green dishwasher soap and recycled paper towels and hand towels
• We have a thorough recycling program with a high participation rate and use 100 percent post-consumer paper for routine office printing
• We have installed a compost bin and planted a container garden
• We use an extensive intranet rather than printed manuals to document company procedures
